About Randy

Randy Pollok is a music teacher with many years of experience, teaching individuals and group classes. He has been teaching privately in Rochester since 2011 and previously taught in Charleston, West Virginia and Bloomington, Indiana.

As a member of the Rochester Ukulele Orchestra, Randy has performed at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, the Rochester Fringe Festival, Hochstein at High Falls, Greentopia, the South Wedge Farmers Market, and The Little Theatre Cafe.

Randy helps to lead and teach the Rochester Ukulele Support Group and teaches workshops at Bernunzio Uptown Music. He teaches group ukulele classes at the Hochstein School of Music.

His other performance credits include shows at Roberts Wesleyan College (Les Mis) and St. John Fisher (Little Shop of Horrors, The Drowsy Chaperone, All Shook Up, Heathers: The Musical, and Spring Awakening) and with the Charleston (WV) Light Opera Guild. He was music director at First Presbyterian Church in Brockport from 2013-2022, where he conducted the choir and handbells and played organ, piano, and other instruments.

Randy continues to study piano with Howard Spindler, and has studied clarinet with Andrew Brown and guitar with Bob Sneider at Eastman Community Music School, where he also has played in the Music Educators Wind Ensemble and a clarinet quartet. He has a Bachelor of Music Degree from Illinois State University, and completed graduate coursework at Butler University in Indianapolis.
